Powersports vehicles are built to do some pretty rough-and-tumble things, whether it’s for work or for play. Inevitably, that means a service department visit, so we here at Jim Moroney’s Inc. wanted to help you prepare for one with some quick tips, below. To learn more, or to schedule a service department visit with our maintenance professionals, contact our store in New Windsor, New York, today!

Scheduling

You can’t always plan for a maintenance emergency, but when possible, it’s best to schedule a service department visit in advance. If you try to show up for a walk-in, you might find yourself waiting for several hours just to get in, especially if it’s a busy day. You can also check your owner’s manual to see when you’ll need regular maintenance and what kind, and you can try to schedule appointments around those dates.

At the Appointment

It’s always helpful to make a list of your concerns and questions in advance of the appointment. Everyone knows how it feels to skip something important because they forgot it when the time came!

You should also keep in mind that the estimated time to completion that the service department will provide you is just that—an estimate. Staffing issues, unexpected complications in the machine itself, and other problems can cause delays. Remember to be as patient as possible with the staff, and that they’re doing their best to get your vehicle back to you as soon as possible.
